PAGASA

PEOPLES ASSEMBLY FOR GENUINE ALTERNATIVES TO SOCIAL APATHY
.
I know it's a mouthful but it is more than worth checking out. PAGASA is a vibrant, spiritual-cultural group that is committed to transforming the Philippines from the inside out.  There are no politicians here. We are regular people wanting true and lasting change. We were originally founded when the Garci issue exploded.  There were many of us then.  Our base was the People Power Monument along Edsa.  We were there everyday.  No one else came.  That scandal fizzled and so did the strength of that original group.  Some went their own way and are continuing the fight their way.  The rest of us decided we needed to go deeper than problems and systems.  That's when we created the workshop "Inner Change Towards Societal Transformation".  This workshop helps individuals connect the dots between their lives and the state of the Philippines we know today.  It has been a profound journey for many. Let truth and integrity shine again!!

Equitable & BDO: TSK TSK

Today I decided to terminate my Equitable Visa Card due to bad service. Since Equitable married BDO, all sorts of things have happened to my credit card. Well, actually, only one headache--but big enough for me to throw in the towel.I missed a credit card payment by 8 days, so I sent a check that I thought would cover the amount plus interest charges, plus plus. Wouldn't you know it, my payment was never posted. It has been three months and my interest and service fees were mounting, despite calls to their customer service (utterly frustrating) and a fax of the payment slip showing the bank received my payment. To make things worse, each time I deposit a check to BDO, I have to pay a processing fee of either P50 or P100, depending on how much money I'm depositing. Does this sound like a company that cares about their customers? I don't think so, so I'm out of their list.
